- Before it is destroyed, the EAS Persephone attacks a Drakh cruiser which crashes on Ceti IV.

- The Excalibur and its crew encounter a pair of paranoid and hostile aliens from the Eridani Sector accusing Humans of interfering with their society.[3]

- At the suggestion of Doctor Stephen Franklin, head of Xenobiological Research at Earth Dome, the Earth Alliance Health Organization holds the Plague Eradication Management Strategies Mars Conference, bringing in experts from unaffected Earth colonies to plan a unified plan of research. The keynote speaker was Doctor Sarah Chambers. Also at Dr. Franklin's suggestion, Earthforce Captain Elizabeth Lochley is assigned to oversee the conference and co-ordinate security arrangments with Mars Pol. [4]
