"We were once bound here, among the stars, long ago."
"Bound to remain and bound to possess..."

Asmodeus, 2271

"Asmodeus' race" was an unknown non-physical species that was sealed away on Earth.[1]Asmodeus as his kind probably went extinct when the Sol went nova and wiped out Earth, destroying them as well.[2]

History

Long ago, Asmodeus' race could travel the galaxy of their free will until they were trapped on an uninhabited planet. They couldn't leave that world and if said world was destroyed, so would their kind be. Eventually that world gave birth to intelligent life, Humans. As that civilization advanced, the cast out aliens began taking an interest in this race. During the Medieval Era, they tried to possess countless humans, which was believed to be demonic possession.

During the Third Age, one of these aliens, Asmodeus, possessed Simon Burke. Asmodeus' intention was to leave the planet and convince a servant of God to set him free. His plan was foiled by Colonel Elizabeth Lochley, who discovered the truth about Asmodeus' plan to escape Earth's bind. Asmodeus was sent back to Earth where he was exorcized.[1]

Notes

Being the source of demonic possession on Earth, Asmodeus' race could be known as Demons , the name Humans gave to his race.
