Barbara Tashaki was a political scientist from the University of Japan at Tokyo.

In 2362 she took part in an educational stellarcast on the 100th anniversary of the Interstellar Alliance alongside historian Dr. Jim Latimere from the University of York and psychologist Dr. William Exeter from New York University. She was fierce critic of John Sheridan. [1]
