The Battle of Orion VII was one of the opening battles of what would be part of the Earth Alliance Civil War conflict.
The Battle[]
The battle began when Clark-loyal forces ambushed a meeting of Earth Alliance Resistance personnel shortly after the Earth Alliance Civil War began.
During the battle, General Hague was tragically killed when the EAS Clarkstown fired upon and hit the EAS Alexander amidships, forcing his second, Major Ed Ryan to take command of the ship. The Alexander first attempted to flee without returning fire, while having only their starfuries to fend off the enemy warship. Bill Trainor told Major Ed Ryan that they need to jump, but Ryan told him that they can't leave their fighters stranded. However, when the EAS Clarkstown persisted, Bill Trainor suggests using the aft batteries to destroy the EAS Clarkestown, much the Major Ryan's concerns and protest about not wanting to kill anymore of their own fellow Earth warships. Reluctantly Major Ed Ryan had no choice but to agree with Bill Trainor, and ordered him to tell the aft batteries to open fire on their pursuer.
The EAS Alexander then immediately open up with her rear heavy guns, destroying the EAS Clarkstown in one shot, blowing her to bits and sending her crew to a watery grave in space, much to Major Ed Ryan's sadness.
Aftermath[]
After the battle, Major Ryan immediately ordered the ship to jump to Babylon 5 for repairs.[1]
