The Division of Public Works was a Centauri espionage organisation run from the Development Office under the Ministry of Internal Security and was tasked with gathering intelligence on the Interstellar Alliance.[1]
Based on the recommendation of Durla, the Minister of Internal Security, Castig Lione, offered Mariel a job in the Division of Pubic Works. Mariel accepted, and recommended certain other individuals of her acquaintance whom she felt would prove useful to the new division.
