The EAS Pournelle was an Earthforce Omega-class destroyer.
In 2258, the ship was called in to assist in putting down the uprising on Mars. It came upon Abel Horn, one of the leaders of Free Mars in a small ship over Phobos, one of the moons of Mars, and destroyed it, killing Horn. The ship was incorrectly classified as a cruiser by both Talia Winters and Michael Garibaldi [1]
