David Williams was a Human born in Patterson, New Jersey, American State. A plumber by trade, he was engaged to Carole Miles.
He met Miles while working on the Omega 7 mining colony. She was transferred back to Earth, but when a Drakh fleet attacked and released a deadly plague, she was unable to leave due to a quarantine of the planet. To return home and marry his beloved, he elected to be infected with the Drakh plague so that Doctor Stephen Franklin could study how the virus spread from the moment it entered his body. Williams called her from the destroyer Excalibur en route to Earth to tell Miles that he was coming. This was something she objected to but accepted.
Because he had broken communications silence and contacted his fiancée, a Drakh force attacked the Excalibur. Williams was knocked unconscious during the battle and the seals on Williams' isolation room were breached, setting off an auto-decontamination procedure that would sterilize everything living thing in the room. Franklin quickly rescued him with only moments to spare.
Williams invited Franklin to the wedding, in part for saving his life, and for reuniting him with his love. He and Miles were married one week later.[1]
