The Babylon Project

The Iksha ship (referred as a Battleglobe)[1] was a warship used by the Iksha.[2]

The vessel is not capable of flying in planetary atmosphere.[1]

One such ship arrived at Babylon 5 in 2258 to protest the status of the criminal known as Deathwalker.[2]

Notes[]

  • Only appearing in a single episode, next to nothing is known about this very alien looking ship. It may not have a jumpdrive, as it was seen using the Babylon 5 jumpgate.

In the non-canon roleplaying and wargaming sources, the Iksha are actually called the Ipsha. The specifications and name of the Iksha ship in canon varies greatly in non-canon sources:

Babylon 5 the Roleplaying Game's Ships of the Galaxy

It's the strangest warship that has ever been produced within the galaxy. The ship consists of a metal ring of magentic gyroscopics containing a powerful singularity. Ipsha technology is based on the magnetic containment of the singularity, which is used to arm their weapons, fuel their machines, and basically drive Ipsha technology en masse. Through the creation of the powerful atomic reaction contained in the magnetic/gravitic coil, the ship has an unbelievable amount of energy at its disposal. Making it a ship with superior maneuverability and potent energic weaponry. Being an Ipsha ship, it's also a vessel filled with alkaline waters, an environment hostile to most other lifeforms.
