Kane was a techno-mage and was part of the same initiation group as Galen.
In 2264 he relocated to Ghehana on Centauri Prime to investigate Drakh activity for Galen. He is mentioned by name in Casting Shadows by Elizar, although it is clear Elizar thought little of the man. He is killed by a Drakh spike gun while helping Vir infiltrate a Shadow Base, but not before experiencing a prophetic vision, an event which marked him as a powerful mage and destined for great things.[1]
