Lara Brazg was a human telepath and a noted member of the Telepath Resistance.[1]

Born in Canada, Earth in 2174, Lara had a pretty face with light freckles, dirty blonde hair. She was first registered as a telepath with Psi Corps in 2189 at the age of 15. Rather than join the Corps or go to prison, Lara instead opted to go on the sleepers. She continued to take the weekly injections until 2195 when Lara, now aged 21 disappeared from her life and joined the Underground. Becoming an active resistance fighter, she was soon implicated in two assassination attempts, one package bombing and was known to have "kidnapped" at least two teeps from Psi Corps re-education facilities.

In 2204, Brazg was a part of a big Resistance cell in Kazakhstan, UIN along with several other senior resistance fighters including Nielson, Kashiwada, D'Amico, Enoch, Deitz, Klassen and the near legendary Stephen Walters when it was hit by Psi Corps MetaPol forces. While several high profile persons were captured, Walters, Nielson and Brazg managed to escape. Shortly afterwards Lara was spotted at a train station in Chamonix, France by Psi Corps Cadet Bester who followed her on a train to Paris where she linked up with Portis Nielson. Having spotted her tail, the pair captured the young teep and attempted to scan him. During the scan, Bester sent out a deafening mind scream for help, using the temporary distraction to make a break for freedom. Portis got a shot off with his flechette gun and hit Bester in the arm, slowing him down enough so that he and Lara were able to chase him down. However, they caught up to him about the same time as a group of local MetaPol officers. In the ensuing fire fight, Nielson was gunned down while Brazg was arrested and sent to a re-education centre.

  • Psi Corps classified Lara as a classic "type A blip". An essentially good person under outside influences that was susceptible to "re-education."
  • After Bester had spent some time with Brazg, he noted that if he had to draw a picture of her mind, it'd be her face, only simplified, mournful and hopeless like that of the Grins.
