  • Aicha: Onteen Homeworld,[3] also called Thalatine.
  • Alzeral: Vree colony located in a star system near to their own home system.[1]
  • Androma: Homeworld of the Hurr, former members of the League and later members of the ISA.[1]
  • Anfran: Site of a well known archaeological dig. Morden once visited the planet and obtained an Anfran love stone, on which he wrote a paper for the Archaeology Quarterly publication.[5]

  • Brensil IV: The fourth planet of the Brensil System. Little more than a barren rock, Brensil IV was home to a number of mining colonies and small settlements. By 2258, the mine had closed and those with ships had left, leaving what remained on the verge of total abandonment.[18]
  • Bricarn IX: A border world at the edge of Centauri space. In 2274 Bricarn IX was one of several defenceless but strategically valuable planets attacked by the Centauri Republic as part of a campaign of increased belligerence towards the Interstellar Alliance.[19]

Ceti IV 01

Ceti IV in 2267

  • Centauri Beta I: Colony world of the Centauri Republic. One of the Republic's centres of tourism, it is open to many of the other races.[1]
  • Cygnus IV: A relatively unappealing planet and the location of a factory and power plant, privately owned by a particularly eccentric human. In the mid-2260s an unknown ship crashed on Cygnus IV. Lou Welch, while working security at a nearby power plant, investigated the wreck and discovered a piece of technology he would later call his "invisibility cloak".[25][26]

D

  • Deruzala: Vree colony located in their home system.
  • Dorak VII: Location of a small Shadow base located only 10 light-minutes from one of the Shadows' main staging areas. On January 23, 2261, the base was destroyed by five ships from the Army of Light lead by White Star 14. The attack was a cover to allow the Shadows to capture or destroy White Star 14 and obtain false intelligence that would ultimately draw them into the Battle of Coriana VI.[34]
  • Drathun II: Location of a Drazi colony.[1]
  • Drathun IV: Location of a Drazi colony.[1]

  • Fensalir: UTC43-02C, a Class 4 planet. In January 2259 Catherine Sakai surveyed the world for Universal Terraform looking for Quantium 40. Although the initial robotic probe detected diridium gas in the atmosphere (a possible indication of Q-40) Sakai's geological survey showed the planet was an "FGP" (Fool's Gold Planet) containing no significant quantities of Quantium 40.[9]

  • Harper's World: A border world at the edge of Centauri space. In 2274 Harper's World was one of several defenceless but strategically valuable planets attacked by the Centauri Republic as part of a campaign of increased belligerence towards the Interstellar Alliance.[19]
  • Heptharg III: Location of a Drazi colony.[1]
  • Herig III: A planet once visited by Alfred Bester. Notable for its heavy sulphurous clouds poisonous to Humans.[24]

I

  • Immolan V: Colony world of the Centauri Republic. One of the Republic's centres of tourism, it is open to many of the other races. Of particular note is the colony's temple to Gon, widely recognized as the most beautiful building ever constructed by a sentient race, which each year draws both pilgrims and tourists in their millions.[1]

J

  • Janos VII: Site of a notorious conflict in which Richard Franklin once served. His conduct earned him the moniker "Scourge of Janos VII". Grylors are native to this planet.[42]
  • Japok: The transport Alteth travelled to Japok from Babylon 5 in 2258.[27]
Jupiter

K

  • K0643: A dead, deserted world out on the rim, near the very fringe of fringe of Centauri space and the location of the gateway to the hidden Shadow base Xha'dam.[43][44]
  • Kalevala: Discovered by the Earth Alliance in the late 22nd/early 21st century, it is said to have constant lightning storms in the upper atmosphere, causing the wind on the ground to always have the smell of a thunderstorm.[10]
  • Kazomi VII: Kazomi VII is a colony in Sector 498.[28] During the Vorlon offensive in 2261, Kazomi VII was one of several colonies to take on survivors and refugees from the planets that had been destroyed by the Vorlon planetkiller.
  • Kitab III: Site of a Yolu colony, located in a system neighbouring the Yolu home system.[1]

L

  • Latig IV: Latig IV was used as a scientific experiment by Deathwalker: she used Stafford's Plague to see how long it would take for the population to become infected.[11]

Minbar

  • Mars: Fourth planet in the Sol system, location of the oldest and largest human colony outside of Earth.
  • Mipas: Homeworld of the Mipasians. Originally located just outside of the Freehold, the planet fell under the jurisdiction of the Drazi Freehold shortly after the Drazi discovered valuable mineral deposits and reconfigured their borders to incorporate Mipas.[47] In 2274 Mipas was one of several defenceless but strategically valuable planets attacked by the Centauri Republic as part of a campaign of increased belligerence towards the Interstellar Alliance.[19]
  • Morbis: An independent Centauri colony on the border of the Republic. In the mid-to-late 2260s, Morbis was one of half a dozen or so outlying worlds taken over by the Prime Candidates as part of Minister Durla's covert military build-up and used as the site for a secret munitions plant disguised as an educational facility.[49] In January 2271, Morbis was one of the first targets to be bombed by the Centauri resistance movement under the direction of Ambassador Cotto.[50]

  • Shambah III: Location of a Drazi colony. The primary food production centre for the Drazi Freehold, Shambah III has been extensively terraformed for land and sea farming.[1]
  • Shandukan: A border world at the edge of Centauri space. In 2274 it was one of several defenceless but strategically valuable planets attacked by the Centauri Republic as part of a campaign of increased belligerence towards the Interstellar Alliance.[19]
  • Ssumssha: The Abbai Homeworld, also known as Abba IV.[2]
  • Stabota V: Stabota V is a distant, remote planet. Nothing is there but a Drazi nudist colony and a small communications relay, of which sophisticated technology is in use.[18]

T

  • Tarkon III: Dead planet visited by the Excalibur in 2267. A survey of the planet showed no survivors.[48]
  • Tau Ceti IV: Tau Ceti IV was the site of the Earth Alliance's newest colony following the Earth-Minbari War. Established in 2249 on the borders of Narn and Centauri space, the colony serves as a trade centre between the Alliance and those races. Consisting of only a single domed city and a couple of research outposts, it is a rough environment and was still considered a frontier world as late as 2261.[1]
