Malia was a Centauri Prophetess of Tuwain and the very first Prophetess Supreme.[1]
In the 11th Century, Malia encountered Emperor Morell as he and his troops were passing by the river Tuwain. She told him of her vision that a dagger would strike "to his heart from near his heart" and that "only the crescent moon hidden in darkness" would save him. A short time later that warning saves Morell and his nephew Elfeni is captured while attempting assassinate his uncle. In gratitude, Morell gave Malia a tenth share of his fortune and pledged that for as long as there was an Emperor of the Centauri Republic, there would always be a prophetess of Tuwain held in royal favour, revered and honored as the Prophetess Supreme.
