A missile is a conventional weapon relying on guidance and sensors to deliver its payload to a target that has been selected by the operator or computer to be destroyed. The payload of a missile can vary, though typically a high explosive warhead is used.

A warhead can be loaded with a chemical, biological or nuclear payload, whatever the mission or defense requires. Missiles can be destroyed by a defense grid, or an Anti-Missile System.

Notes

• The missiles used in Babylon 5 appear to be a "Fire and Forget" system, firing and acquiring a new target.
