Nial cockpit

The Nial is the most powerful fighter in the younger races' arsenal. It sports an array of advanced systems, incredible firepower and manoeuvrability. The armament of the Nial consists of three Light Neutron Fusion Cannons, similar to those found on a Sharlin class warcruiser but much less powerful.

Defenses include a Minbari steath system, making a weapons lock impossible for most other races.[2][3] While in flight the pilot operates the ship in the prone position.[4] Due to the fact that this ship is designed to strike and then return, it carries only a limited air supply and has no jump capability of its own.[5]

Having proven to be a dependable design for over a thousand years, it has served in the First and Second Shadow war, the Earth-Minbari War and continues to serve both the Federation and the Interstellar Alliance. A small contingent of Nials are normally stationed aboard the Anla'Shok's Whitestar fleet.
