The Nimue were a member race of the Interstellar Alliance.
In 2266, while using her relationship with Ambassador Vir Cotto on Babylon 5 as cover, Mariel managed to seduce the Nimue Undersecretary of Defence, gaining an open invitation to the Nimue homeworld with the promise of gaining an insight into the Nimue Department of War.[1]
Mariel was in fact working for the Centauri Republic's Division of Public Works; an espionage organisation run from the Development Office under the Ministry of Internal Security and tasked with gathering intelligence on the Alliance.[2]
Behind the Scenes[]
Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, was a powerful sorceress in the King Arthur legends. Her story is referenced as a central metaphor in the Season 3 episode "A Late Delivery from Avalon."
