The Olympus was an Earth Alliance science vessel.
In 2267 Doctor Sarah Chambers turned down the opportunity to serve and the Chief Medical Officer on the Olympus in favour of serving on the Excalibur because she felt the latter's mission was honourable, commendable and more important.[1]
