The Psi Corps motherships were a type of ship, secretly operated by Psi Corps in the years leading up to the Telepath War.[1]

The ships themselves were heavily modified Asimov class commercial liners and would spend the vast majority of the time in hyperspace, staying out of sight while ferrying missions back and forth, coming into normal space only when in need of repairs.

One of these was boarded by Alfred Bester, Lauren Ashes and Chen Hikaru in their way to Babylon 5. The other was found in 2262 floating dead in hyperspace by Lyta Alexander and G'Kar, with all their crew presumed dead.[2]

Apocrypha[]

Canonbox default The following is based on The Mongoose Publishing RPG books and contradicts canon sources.

Designed to operate as mobile hyperspace bases, which only leave the hyperspace dimension for supplies and the occasional mission. Equipped with the most advanced telepath-enhancing technologies possessed by the Corps. The Motherships are several hundred ft long, house hundreds of telepaths, and have sufficient firepower to deal with the occasional situation that may arise when they reenter realspace.
