A Shadow Hybrid was a prototype starship based on Shadow technology, built by a secret division of Earthforce. It was the first ship to have original Shadow technology in cooperation with Earth Alliance capabilities, equipped with a hybrid version of the Shadow Pulse Ray.

History[]

In 2259, one such ship was witnessed to have destroyed the EAS Cerberus, leaving then Ensign Matthew Gideon as the only survivor.^[1] In 2267, a modified version of that ship was detected by the Excalibur after it attacked and destroyed a civilian ship in Sector 840. The Excalibur eventually chased the damaged ship down and destroyed it in an asteroid field.^[2] Later that year, the Excalibur tracked a carrier wave used by the ship back to a home base in Sector 420.^[3]
