Do they still exist in JMS's universe?[]

I searched this wikia to find out if there was an entry for the Arnassians (since I'm watching The Gathering right now), and I notice that the little paragraph about them says that the "Arnassians were a humanoid species...."  Is that meant to denote that they no longer exist?  Was their world destroyed by the Shadows or the Vorlons?  Or is the past tense only used because they only appeared once in the beginning of a series that is no longer being produced? Thanks. this is a wonderful topic im so glad you bring it up. im a bit of a scholar when it comes to babylon 5. but thing about it is the arnassian chicks were only mentioned in the original series i do know that the gathering which was the movie pilot was were they were first mentioned but these ladies were not mentioned in the spin off series called crusade. theres two schools of though on the issue the first school of though is that there race is extinct which is a fine theory. but i beilve in a second school of thought and that is simply that they no longer have the habit of eating there mates and thus its at least true on the occasion that at some point early on they were known for eating their customers. they are sex workers (prostitutes) you know. so the "were" word might mean these aliens are dead but it could also mean that they are no longer eating there customers. the only thing that could clear this matter up would be a tech manual on the show that deals with all the alien races and gives more detailed and up to date data as of the year 2280 at least. The use of the past-tense is more of a symptom of trying to write everything in "past tense" across the entire wiki - as if these are records that are being read by "Man" in 1002262 (The Deconstruction of Falling Stars), obviously there is styling differences across the site so it's not consistent.
