The same Tannier?[]
Are we sure the Tannier from Legend of the Rangers is supposedto be the same Tannier from Learning Curve? For one thing, the personalities don't match. The Tannier from Learning Curve is humble and soft-spoken. The Tannier in Legend is prideful, arrogant, and antagonistic. For another, their head bones don't match. Tannier in Learning curve is from the religious caste (stated explicitly). Tannier in Legend has warrior caste ridges (he actually looks a lot more like Rastenn than the other Tannier). They're not even played by the same actor. Oh, and the Tannier from Learning Curve was to be assigned as a house guard for Sheridan and Delenn, not as a captain in the Anla'Shok fleet. All of this leads me to believe that these are not, in fact, the same Tannier. — DeFender1031*Talk 16:20, August 2, 2016 (UTC)
- My last re-watch petered out last year about an episode before Learning Curve, so I never quite got there again. Did JMS explicitly state they were the same character? Or was that from another source? I would imagine that if it's not clear, they are probably different characters. I just don't remember. Radagast83 (talk) 06:40, August 12, 2016 (UTC)
- The only thing I can find from googling is this, which seems to claim that JMS DID say so. "Meant to be the same character, but it's not the same actor." I've come across this site in the past, but it's not clear to me what their source is. If this site is directly affiliated with JMS and heard it directly from him, then that's that, I suppose, though given all the things I said above, it seems totally inconsistent for it to be the same tannier. Then again, the entire failed Legend of the Rangers pilot was inconsistent, both with itself, and with the franchise as a whole.
