Tamlyn Tomita (b. January 27, 1966) is an Okinawa-born American actress.
Her first role was playing Kumiko, the Okinawan love interest of Daniel Larusso in The Karate Kid, Part II.
She played Laurel Takashima in the TV-movie, The Gathering. She declined to return for the series, so her character was modified into the character of Susan Ivanova. She was originally going to be the traitor, shooting not only Garibaldi, but would have had the Psi Corps hidden personality that was later written for the character of Talia Winters.
