Tragedy - so-named for the mask he wears - was part of a dream that Susan Ivanova had, along with Comedy. He is a representation of one of the Psi Corps people who came to her house when she was a young child and forced her mother, Sofie Ivanov to take Sleepers.[1]

Background[]

  • The Comedy and Tragedy masks together have become the general symbol of the theatre.
  • The Tragedy mask is based on the appearance of Melpomene, the Greek muse of singing.
  • Tragedy being played by the same actor as Garibaldi's aide Jack hints at the latter's eventual betrayal.
