Zoe was a homeless girl on Earth and friend of Elizabeth Lochley's.^[1]

History

A classic lost soul, Zoe had always wanted to have a family, with lots of kids, but instead somehow found herself living rough on the streets. In 2235, Zoe met and bonded with Elizabeth Lochley (Lizzy to Zoe) and the pair lived together in an old, burned-out hotel. While they had a good time together, they were often cold, sick and hungry.

One day however Lizzy came home to find Zoe dead in the bathroom. Zoe's horrific death and the sight of her corpse, choked with vomit and swarming with cockroaches, drove Elizabeth to call her mother and go home. The event left an indelible mark on Elizabeth and made her get her own life in order and deal with her own substance abuse problems and eventually she enrolled in Earthforce Academy.

During the Day of the Dead ceremony in 2262, she appeared for one night to Lochley. She helped Lochley come to terms with her untimely death. Zoe also told her that Kosh had a message for John Sheridan: "When the long night comes, return to the end of the beginning."

Before disappearing, she confessed that she did overdose on purpose, saying that she never wanted to hurt her friend but she just couldn't continue with her life as it was.

Notes

The name "Zoe" means life in Greek.
